Transamerica Life Solutions and Cantor LifeMarkets Announce Distribution Relationships with 26 Leading Firms.  New Agreements Expand Ability to Meet Consumer Demand for Life Insurance Settlement Services

 

CHARLOTTE, NC (April 10, 2008) — Transamerica Life Solutions Group (TLSG) and Cantor LifeMarkets announced today that the companies listed below (referred to as “MACs”) have signed Master Agency Contracts, which enable them to provide retail distribution for LexNet (SM), Cantor’s electronic marketplace for the trading of life settlements.

TLSG joined with Cantor LifeMarkets earlier this year to offer life insurance settlement services to insurance professionals assisting clients interested in settling life insurance policies they no longer need or want.  TLSG offers a variety of value-added services, including:

 

* Marketing resources,

* Training and education

* Compliance and licensing support, and

* Assistance with LexNet.

 

TLSG facilitates life settlement business but does not participate in the settlement transactions.  Transactions are handled through LexNet, which enables life insurance policy owners to settle policies in an efficient and secure marketplace that is fully compliant with all applicable state regulations.  LexNet offers its users complete transparency of commissions and charges, and provides policy holders with privacy protection throughout the auction process.

 

Access to LexNet will be coordinated exclusively through MACs.  LexNet will not accept policy submissions directly from producers.  Any producer who wishes to submit a policy to LexNet may call 888-881-TLSG or send an email TLSG@Transamerica.com for a referral to a MAC.
